This Week's Episode!

Scotty Kormos personifies modern drumming in its best light. Rock solid rhythms and an electrifying entertainer, he is pure fun to watch. Hailing from Cleveland, Kormos has performed and recorded with an incredible range of acts, including young artists such as Mitchell Musso (co-star of the Hannah Montana TV show) to legendary artists such as B.J. Thomas and Bill Medley. His drumming has been heard on countless TV shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, Dawsons Creek, Party of Five,Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Rodney Show, the Elvis mini-series and countless cable movies. He now lives in Los Angeles, where for the last several years he has done numerous projects with Steve Dorff. When Dorff needed a drummer for The Singing Bee, Kormos was his first call. In addition to playing nearly 150 shows a year, he has found the time to do more studio work and even start producing other artists for such major labels as Disney Records. He considers himself a musical drummer who serves the song first and foremost. His consummate skills as a drummer, producer and engineer keep him a top call musician in Los Angeles. When not in the studio, Kormos loves to perform with The Singing Bee bandmates in Don't Stop Believin, a tribute to the music of Journey.

A brilliant singer. Storm has worked with a staggering list of music and media superstars most notably: Desmond Child, Diane Warren, The Matrix, David Archuleta, Marc Shaiman, Disney, Mathew Wilder, Randy Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Travis Tritt, Matthew Gerrard, Robbie Nevil, Ozzy Osborne, Andreas Carlsson, Nickelodeon, Meatloaf, Billy Steinberg, NBC, Holly Night, Aldo Nova, Guy Roche, Neil Young and Jorgen Elofsson to name more than a few. His versatility is beyond compare.

Most recently Storm wrote and performed the theme to the Bravo TV show " Step It up and Dance" and is seen and heard by millions each week on the CMT variety game show " The Singing Bee”

Storm is living proof that you create what you become and become what you create.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Storm knew from an early age his calling in life was music and the arts. At 14 he left high school preferring to wander the halls of museums and art galleries, at 16 he moved to Paris, France and at the tender age of 17 he bought a one-way ticket to New York City arriving with $400 dollars, a backpack and a demo tape. Storm lived at a $14 a night hostel on 43rd and Broadway with the vagabonds, trashy trannies, tourists and cockroaches the size of your thumb… Loving every minute of it, he immersed himself in the vibrant downtown fashion, art and club scene. Washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, waiting tables and delivering pizzas paid him just enough to keep making demo’s and performing at legendary clubs like “ The Pyramid Club” “ Jackie 60” “ Squeezebox” and Bar D’o".

After a decade in New York Storm headed west to Los Angeles and after fortuitous meeting with music legend Desmond Child, Storm signed a publishing deal with Deston Songs and wrote for many National and international artists.

In the fall of 2004 Storm received a Latin Grammy Nomination for the composition “ LIPSTICK” performed by Latin bombshell Alejandra Guzman. In the summer of 2006 Storm published his first book " I EAT NEON" a collection of prose poetry inspired by his life and experience in New York and held his first art show “ VICTORIOUS FILTH” displaying his original paintings/collage. A true renaissance man. Also, Storm's new record is on iTunes and CD Baby!

Saylor, made our fifth episode rock! She was amazing, and it was a great interview on a Friday night! It was the best Friday the 13th I've ever had, for sure. Here's some information about Lynn Carey Saylor:

Lynn Carey Saylor is a BMI affiliated singer, songwriter, and guitarist, founder of the Web site GuitarGirls.Com and an endorsement artist for and Goodsell Amplifiers. Lynn was formerly an endorsement artist for SPG Guitars until the company's sale in 2008.

Lynn is also the co-owner of Los Angeles based commercial recording studio, Skip Saylor Recording, known for mixing and/or recording work for such platinum selling artists as Gun n' Roses, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Boys II Men, Snoop Dogg, Foo Fighters, k.d. lang, DJ Quik, 2Pac, Elton John, Pink and many others.

Lynn Carey Saylor's greatest passion in life is that of a songwriter. 10 of 11 songs on her new modern Pop/Rock CD, "YOU LIKE IT CLEAN" are written entirely by her (words and music) and she tackles such weighty subjects as racial tolerance (on her award winning song "IF WE BELIEVE" featuring BRIAN MAY of QUEEN) and drunk driving (on the emotional heavy rock ballad "I WASN'T A FRIEND"), but never seems to be preaching to you. Her songwriting style is one of thoughtful lyrics, expressive melodies, big dramatic chorus hooks, lush background harmonies and full bodied instrumentation, set off by modern production.

Queen's Brian May also appears on the lone cover tune on Lynn's record, the 1984 smash hit for Pat Benatar, "WE BELONG." Lynn's version of the song boasts not only Brian May, but also the songwriters of the song, Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro. For those who know Pat Benatar's big ballad interpretation of the song, there will be some surprise as to Lynn's much more rocked up arrangement of the song, a departure that was designed to set it apart from Pat's version and also to reflect Lynn's style and showcase the rock guitar sound and style of Brian May, who plays both lead and rhythm guitar on the song. Brian May also sings background vocals in the chorus with the song's writers and the photo below was taken in the studio as they were laying down their vocal parts for the song.

This week's episode with Bob Merrick, was amazing. This episode aired Friday, November 6, 2009. We all had a great episode interviewing him, and a great time talking to him.
